Heartland Media Foundation
The Heartland Media Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of youth development and focuses on building character, resiliency, emotional intelligence and leadership skills in youth as well as violence prevention and promoting safe school environments. A key element of its mission is the nationally renowned work of Dr. Michael Pritchard.
How to Help Our Schools!
Contribute to the Heartland Media Foundation and provide Youth Guidance Programs, staff development and personal appearances by Dr. Michael Pritchard and staff to schools and communities across the nation. A donation sends needed materials and services to under-performing schools to aid in their improvement.

How it Works!
Dr. Michael Pritchard works within a school district or community speaking at student assemblies, running breakout sessions on character development topics, working with peer and leadership groups, teaching parent/community awareness, and training and motivating staff. A set of HLM educational videos appropriate to the communities needs would be donated for further student sessions.
Proven to be affective!
The “See’s Candies” Corporation generously donated funds for the development of an educational videos SOS: Saving Our School from Hate and Violence winning the attention of CNN and Time magazine. Funding received 2 weeks after the Columbine incident, these videos address early warning signs of violence prevention. Countless school districts have used the videos and Michael Pritchard engaging sessions at assemblies. The results are improved and safer schools and communities. HLM’s new series, LifeSteps, a character education program, features Michael Pritchard engaging with youth providing social and emotional skills including a comprehensive Leader’s Guide for extended use.
